Bio:
Trista Mateer is a visual artist, poet, and writer currently based out of Maryland. She began putting words on paper at twelve and never found a good enough reason to stop. She is now the author of multiple poetry collections, including Goodreads Choice Award winner The Dogs I Have Kissed (2015), the bestselling collection Aphrodite Made Me Do It (2019), and her YA poetry debut When the Stars Wrote Back (2020). When she's not writing poetry or telling stories, she is most likely to be found chasing her cat, reading about faeries, or Googling cheap air fare. Apparently some things never change. You can keep up with her @tristamateer on Instagram and Twitter. Visit her at tristamateer.com.
